Fun

The start of the Great Australia Day Rotary Duck Race

We have a lot of fun! There is a social aspect to everything we do together, we make sure that we have a good time while giving back to the community.

Enjoying the summer with take-aways

Dinner at the weekly club meetings, turning sausages at the BBQ and any other events and activities we volunteer at all involve a social aspect, with members from our club as well as our neighbour Rotary Clubs of Moruya, Bega,  Batemans Bay and many of the other clubs around Canberra and the region. When you join one Rotary Club, you join them all, local and around the world, so there are a lot of people to meet and have fun with!

We also organise a number of social events throughout the year that don’t include meetings, formalities or volunteering, just a good day or evening out with other members, partners, families friends – and even friends of friends. There are dinners to explore the restaurants in our region, wine tasting, ten-pin bowling, drinks, coffees and more.

There is also a fantastic social aspect to district, regional, national and international Rotary conferences and personal and professional development seminars and workshops. You have the opportunity to meet thousands of like-minded people and enjoy their company, make new friends and learn about different people, cultures, experiences and more.

While having fun, we – and the other 33 000 Rotary clubs around the world – certainly achieve a lot, it is possible to make a difference and have a good time and make new friends in the process

Coming along to a social event is also a great way to be introduced to Rotary. Guests are always welcome, so if you would like to know more then please get in touch and we can tell you when the next event will be. Rotary can be very ‘family friendly’.
